The Return To Bell Canyon

The weather up in the mountains looked great but by the time I hiked up to the reservoir most of the cool looking clouds were gone. It was still a nice day so I hiked around the lake a bit then hiked up past the lake before turning back due to snow.

Another Time Lapse

A short time lapse I shot between trails Saturday afternoon. This is one photo every five seconds for a few minutes and it plays at 24 frames (photos) per second.

Hiking in Utah

I visited three trail heads today. One was short so I got to the waterfall at the end, the other two are much longer trails but weather and daylight made me turn back on the other two trails. These are HDR photos. I probably overdo it with HDR but for most images it looks great.

Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir

Took a short hike up to the Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir the other day near sunset. The lake/reservoir was pretty low and there wasn't much water flowing down the creek but it was still a nice area to photograph. I especially liked the mountains. B&W and HDR photos.

Arches National Park: Part II

Here's some more photos from Arches National Park. I thought these turned out well as HDR. Not sure if some of those spots on the wide angle photos are some sort of lens flare (see top left of Landscape Arch photo).

Arches National Park: Part I

I visited Arches National Park today for the first time. I got to the park just before sunrise and ran around shooting photos for about five hours before going home. The scenery there is amazing, I look forward to visiting some of the other parks in Utah.
