Lyons Ferry

Didn't have school today so I went to Lyons Ferry just down the river from Palouse Falls. I got there and it was closed plus you have to have a pass to get it which I didn't have. There was a wildlife habitat just up the road and I could see into the park.
There was a fish hatchery nearby so I went to investigate that area and got a nice view of the train bridge using my 8mm lens.
I spotted some deer along the road and stopped my car fairly close to them.
One last stop before going home. A shot of the bridge you cross to get to the park (looking north).

Macro Monday: Wasp

Found a dead wasp while shooting some macros around my yard. Used my 75-300mm and my 18-55mm connected by a macro reverse ring for some super macro shots. An attempt at focus stacking. The final image along with 2 images to show how small a depth of field you have using the reverse ring.
Some head shots.

Camping

It was very windy driving to the campgrounds plus all the fires burning around Washington gave me an interesting shot of the setting sun.
The next morning was nice and clear so I went to the little river nearby for some photos.

Clouds at Camp

I went on a camp out a while ago and liked the clouds so I did a time lapse. I normally use Photoshop to make an animated gif file but decided to try QuickTime. QuickTime seems quicker to make videos from my time lapse but I wasn't able to play the video here so I used Photoshop to make the gif.

Local Wildlife

Went for a walk along the Columbia River on the Pasco side and I saw something I never thought I'd see. There's a large field with trees and bushes near the Moore Mansion in Pasco, WA with at least four foxes living there. I captured three of them in one photo and saw a fourth further down.
Some other cool captures.

B-17G Flying Fortress

I was pretty excited to go inside this airplane. When I was younger I built a scale model of a B-17F Flying Fortress. To me it is one of the coolest looking planes of WWII. One of the waist/side guns and the belly gun (as seen from the inside).
The radio room. I like how these turned out but I need to find a way to get rid of the weird border at the edges of the light (the light beam hitting the floor).
The bomb bay and the catwalk to get to the rest of the airplane.
Nose gun and belly gun from the outside.
A wide angle shot of the entire B-17 as well as a close up shot. I'm not sure which I like better they both look nice.
